Three book Series You Must Read TODAY! (plus a bonus )

Are you looking for a summer series to dive into while you are poolside?  Hi, my name is She Nell. I am an author, blogger, independent publisher, and Literacy teacher.  Today I want to tell you about three must-read book series that I am enjoying this summer. If you are ready to  get hooked and immerse yourself with a new group of friends, you are going to want to join me in reading the following:

Pat Simmons – The Jamieson Legacy

Friend, I am totally in love with all things Jamieson. These stories showcase black excellence, cultural knowledge, and love for Christ. This 14-book series is available on Kindle, in paperback, with some titles available on audio.

Book 1 – Guilty of Love

When do you know the most important decision of your life is the right one?

Reaping the seeds from what she’s sown, Cheney Reynolds moves into a historic neighborhood in Ferguson, Missouri, and becomes reclusive.

Her first neighbor, the incomparable Mrs. Beatrice Tilley Beacon, aka Grandma BB, is an opinionated childless widow. Grandma BB is a self-proclaimed expert on topics Cheney isn’t seeking advice on—everything from landscaping to hip-hop dancing to romance.

Then there is Parke Kokumuo Jamison VI, a direct descendant of a royal African tribe. He learned his family ancestry, African history, and lineage preservation before he could count.

Unwittingly, they are drawn to each other, but it takes Christ to weave their lives into a spiritual bliss while He exonerates their past indiscretions.

Tyora Moody – Eugeena Patterson Mysteries

If you love a good mystery like I do, then you will love Ms. Eugeena Patterson. I can’t tell you how many times I laughed out loud, cried or was shocked by the end of these books. This series is 7 books of pure fun and will keep you reading. These books are available in all formats.

Book 1 -Deep Fried Trouble

Widowed and officially retired, EUGEENA PATTERSON throws herself into organizing the neighborhood association. This presents a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and get to know new neighbors like recently widowed Amos Jones, that is, until Eugeena stumbles upon her estranged neighbor’s dead body. Eugeena’s daughter is fingered as a prime suspect, but where is she? Determined to find her missing daughter, Eugeena and Amos sort through a list of neighbors with shady or unknown backgrounds. The more she searches, the more Eugeena becomes unsure about this neighborhood association idea. Someone closer than Eugeena thinks wants to keep it that way.

Neesh Santiago- Shame the Devil

One of the best parts about being an author is knowing other authors and getting advance copies. I have been following Neesh’s career from the start, and it has been a blessing. The Shame the Devil series will keep you up all night reading- it is just that good. Books are available in a variety of formats.

Book 1- Tell the Truth and Shame the Devil

When secrets come to light, the truth will set you free – but first it will turn your world upside down.

Nae Nae’s world is turned upside down when she discovers the man she believed was her father is not related to her at all. In a shocking reveal, she learns that Deacon Robert, the head deacon at her church, is actually her biological father.

This wouldn’t be too much of a problem… if Nae Nae wasn’t pregnant with Ricardo’s baby.
Who is Ricardo?
Deacon Robert’s son.

As more secrets come to light, Nae Nae pieces together a tangled web of history involving deceit, betrayal and lies that have defined her family for years. The more she learns, the more she realizes that nothing she thought to be true was real.

Plunged into crisis and with their love and identity in question, Nae Nae and Ricardo must find a way to move forward despite everything pulling them apart. But can truth, forgiveness and faith be enough to save their relationship in the face of so much doubt, confusion and pain?

She Nell – Living a Blessed Lie

In the words of my favorite deacon, “It’s a poor frog that doesn’t praise its own pond.” That being said, if you are in need of a short read while you’re on a flight, summer trip, or on your lunch break, then the Living a Blessed Lie series is for you. This 4 book series is available in multiple formats.

Book 1 – Living a Blessed Lie

“In the shimmering world of social media, Tiffany is captivated by the seemingly perfect lives of her friends. They showcase blissful marriages, proud parenthood, and contented singlehood, leaving Tiffany with a severe case of FOMO—fear of missing out. However, as she delves deeper into their lives, Tiffany unveils the truth: FOMO should really stand for ‘false, exaggerated, misinformed observations.’ Amidst the glittering facade, someone is living a lie, and Tiffany is about to discover that everything that glitters isn’t gold.”
