Walking Crooked with Christ (the motivation)

If you have read any of my books you know that each book starts with scripture. My motivation starts with the scripture. I often pray over the words and seek clarity from God.  Often the scriptures are favorites of mine or ones that my mind can not let go. Walking Crooked with Christ has a scripture that is close to my heart.

…….and I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Romans 8:38

NIV

Walking Crooked with Christ is a personal story. I thought that once I became saved my life would automatically get better like the main character Jas’Mia. I was under the assumption that if God loved me enough to send his only son to die for me certainly God would turn things in my life around. I also was under the belief that I needed to be “GOOD” for God to bless and love me.

Jas’Mia is tormented by the desire to please God and the reality of her world. When I heard her name, I knew that she had a powerful story to tell. She is strong, beautiful, and determine to have everything God has for her. Unfortunately, life has handed Jas’Mia struggles that cause her walk with Christ to be slightly to the left of “right”.
