This year you decided that you would read X number of books. You brought a new Kindle or perhaps you signed up for a discount card at your favorite bookstore. You were prepared to meet your reading goal but then everything changed. Gas prices jumped, rent increased, and the price of meat skyrocketed. These finical hiccups may have you thinking that you cannot afford to spend money on books. Well, friend in my Maury voice “That is a lie”. You can read books for free.
The first way to find Christian Fiction books for free is- The Public Library
Long before Amazon and Barnes Noble, there was a special place that allowed you to read any book you wanted for F.R.E.E. The public library is a hidden gem in every community. Your local library has books in hardback, paperback, large print, and audio. It cost zero dollars to get a library card and most libraries allow you to check out ten to twenty books. If you cannot find your book of choice you can ask the library to order the book. When I started reading Christian Fiction, I turned to my local library to find titles.
The second great way to find free Christian Fiction is – eBooks
You have an eReader so let’s fire that baby up and read some books. If you have a Kindle, you can download free Christian Fiction from Amazon. However, even if you do not have a Kindle the Amazon Kindle app is free and can be downloaded to any device including your nook. There are also electronic sites like Wappad and Google Books that offer free reading. Many authors offer Free books as a gift for signing up for their newsletter. I offer a free book when you purchase a Jesus Lit shirt and another free book if you sign up for my newsletter.
Another amazing way to find free Christian Fiction is –Friends
Friends don’t let friends miss out on good books. Your friends can be your greatest resource for books. You can borrow or trade books with a friend. Once at an event, two readers purchased different books so that they could switch. I thought this was a great idea. The friends were able to get two books for the price of one. Often, I find myself giving friends books and purchasing a second copy later. I have owned five or more copies of For Colored Girls that Consider Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf. I have also owned multiple copies of Christian Fiction author E.N. Joy which I have shared with friends.
Be a good friend and share your books and this article with someone you know. There are so many books to read, we just need to make the time. Our wallets do not have to dictate our ability to read good Christian Fiction.
Show the world that you love Christian Fiction. Purchase your Jesus Lit shirt today. Each purchase comes with a free book! Order your shirt (HERE)
