My latest book Delayed but Not Denied talks about the behind-the-scenes of a pastor’s wife’s infidelity with one of the youngest members of the church.  From love to lust to stalking sums it up and it was one of my bestselling novels to date.  Part 2 is in the works, and I enjoy the writing process of this new novel.

Why did you choose to become a Christian Fiction Author?

I’ve been in the church all my life and was known for singing with several choirs and praise teams.  Since that was the world, I lived in, Christian fiction wasn’t hard to create for me.  I have seen the good, bad, and the ugly of religion and church habits and beliefs.

What inspired you to write it?

It started with the death of my grandmother.  She was like a mother to me and when she died the pen couldn’t stop.  Writing became very therapeutic and soothing to me through the grieving process.

What is your writing process? (Do you write at a certain time, a certain place, or use a notebook first?)

I don’t have a process. lol I write whenever I feel like it and sometimes I can go on for hours.  I don’t outline, I just write.  I have no clue where the pen takes me until I’m done.

What is the best part of being an author?

Traveling and meeting new readers.  I enjoy socialization and hearing the testimony of how my writing had an impact on someone’s life.

Who are some of your favorite authors?

Victoria Christopher Murray, Vanessa Miller, and Kimberla Lawson Roby.  These three women help mold my writing style and I am glad I know all of them personally in real life.  They have given me great nuggets to continue the process with success.

What book(s) are you most excited to read next?

I have a list of over 30 books that I wanted to start last year and haven’t touched them.  Way too many to talk about.

Tell me something about you as a person. (Likes, hobbies, family, anything you would like readers to know.)

I love to sing.  That was my first love before writing.  I have been singing since the age of 5 and my goal was to be one of Janet Jackson’s background singers.  lol Don’t know how writing became such a passion of mine.

What is next? (Events, Projects)

I will be at the CBLR in October.  As far as projects I have big things happening for my magazine called The Heat Seekers and new books that I am completing.

Do you have anything you would like to add?

I love what I do and I’m grateful for all of the support I have received since day one of writing.

How do readers find you on the web?
