Tell me about your latest book.

My latest Christian Romance Thriller is about a man whose love for a woman borders into obsession, and how he will stop at nothing to have her, even murder.

Why did you choose to become a Christian Fiction Author?

I had a dream about a character in my debut novel, Even Me, and after that, I believed God was calling me to write. I write in multiple genres, but with Christian fiction (and nonfiction), my goal is to use various means to bring the message of the Cross to those who don’t know Him, educate those who are on the fence about Christ and change minds of those who don’t believe.

What inspired you to write it?

Outside of believing God called me to write, life inspires me. I’ve experienced a lot of things and seen a lot of people go through various issues. Also, I’m often deeply concerned about the world and societal issues. Writing helps me express some of those feelings and insights.

What is your writing process? (Do you write at a particular time or place, use a notebook first?)

I’ve done different methods. With my debut novel, I wrote half of it in notebooks before transferring it to a computer to finish it, but before that, I had written several books on floppy disks. I was able to keep hold of them because I had printed them out and laminated the pages. Some of those books have been revamped and released.

As far as timing goes, I write at various times during the day, but mostly in the mornings. I don’t necessarily have a writing schedule though. My words tend to start flowing right before a book’s deadline, so the bulk of the story is usually written right before it releases.

What is the best part of being an author?

The best part of being an author is hitting publish and seeing that first review showing that someone got something positive from the story. It shows that the mission was accomplished.

Who are some of your favorite authors?

Some of my favorite Christian Fiction authors are Lakisha Johnson, She Nell, and D. A. Bourne.

What book(s) are you most excited to read next?

I have a ton of books in my TBR, but right now I am mostly reading thrillers. I will likely read “The Red Light Girls” by Kim Knight next.

Tell me something about you as a person. (Likes, hobbies, family anything you would like readers to know.)

I love making music and spoken word poetry. I have released a few singles recently under the artist name Neesh Santiago. My most recent release is called Destiny, a song of desperation and empowerment. Neesh Santiago will also be my Christian fiction and nonfiction pen name going forward.

What is next? (Events, Projects)

I have four books planned for the remainder of this year. Three are thrillers and one is a nonfiction book for authors. Next year, I hope to officially debut Neesh Santiago’s first book.
