Dear Reader: You can finish a great story before lunch is over

When you were younger you loved to read. You had all the books and all the time in the world, Fast forward to 2023 and your adulting. You have kids to shuttle from one place to the next, dinner to cook, a day job, and a spouse to love. Who has time to read a story? YOU DO. No, I am not crazy I just happen to be a fan of quick reads, short stories, and 90-minute fiction.

What is a quick read?

Quick reads are exactly how they sound QUICK READS. The books take about 90 minutes or less to read. Stories take you on a journey that you can complete on your break or just before bed. There are quick reads for every genre including romance, thrillers, and inspirational fiction. If you are an ebook reader they are perfect short reads that cost as low as 99 cents. Quick reads are also available in paperback and fit easily into a purse or bookbag due to the size of most books.

Why do you need to read a quick read?

That simple friend, you need to read a quick read because you love books. They are a great way to get back into reading if you are building a reading habit and a good break in between longer books. As an author I like to write a quick read or a novella in between longer projects, This practice started because as a reader I would alternate between long and short reads. I find that having quick reads in my reading diet is refreshing.

Where can you find a quick read?

I am glad you asked. Amazon has a 90-minute fiction category that will lead you to popular books in the quick-read space. I also have a quick read series that you can check out as well as a couple of other Christian fiction authors. Living a Blessed Lie is my quick-read series that features four friends pretending to live their best lives.

Living a Blessed Lie –

Everything that glitters isn’t gold

Tiffany thinks her friends are living a blessed life. They appear to be happily married, proud parents, or single and satisfied on social media. She has a bad case of FOMO. She discovers that FOMO, fear of missing out, should stand for false overexaggerated misinformed observations. Somebody is living a lie.

Living a Blessed Lie 2 –

Best friends better enemies

Tiffany is tormented by her secrets. Her pain is nothing compared to the deception that started it all. Everything she thought she knew about her best friend is a lie and the truth will change everyone’s life forever. Someone else is living a blessed lie “too”.

Never settle for “I love you”

Tiffany assumed the drama was over but that was a lie. Someone is missing a basic need. Her friend prayed for a man sent from heaven but found one brought from hell. Tiffany can pray but this man can pay. Can someone be saved and the side chick.?
