The word excited is not strong enough to express my feelings when it comes to this book.
Carrying the Cross is the last book in my Flawed but Faithful series. In this story readers get a deep dive into Diamond, Jade’s sister. If you read Resting on the Word, we left Diamond in the bathroom throwing up after eating. Through Resting in the Word Diamond struggled with fitness, eating, and weight loss. In Carrying the Cross, Diamond has made some major moves and everybody ain’t happy about her decisions. Here’s the official description on Amazon:
Sometimes those closest to you cause the most damage.
Diamond’s dream is her family’s nightmare and the only support she has is killing her slowly. If she is going to build her empire, she must do it alone. The truth causes her to spiral out of control and question everything. Pain is her cross.
She is smart.
She is creative.
She is connected.
But is she strong enough to carry her cross alone?
Carrying the Cross is the fifth book in the Flawed but Faithful series. Each book can stand alone or be enjoyed in order.
You don’t have to take my word for it, below are reviews from a group of ARC (advanced reader copy) readers.
“I absolutely loved this book. It had me cracking up the whole way through, then ready to cry real tears with some of the pain Diamond endured. She went through a lot to achieve her dreams, and as the story unfolded, it showed that God had an even greater plan. This was a great read and I highly recommend it.”

CTC definitely worth reading. The author writes her stories so you feel like you are a part of them. This book will have you laughing, yelling at some of the characters, and crying happy tears. It is definitely a reminder to keep God first in all your plans and he promises to take care of you. Diamond definitely stayed focused even when life tried to distract her.

Once again She Nell did her thing. Carrying the Cross was a page-turner. The main character in the book gave me the inspiration to continue to reach for my goals. Definitely 5 stars for me.
