Did you know that book reviews matter? Friend book reviews help readers select books and they help authors move in this matrix we call the internet. When books have several reviews the algorithms pick up on a signal that says” Hey people are reading this book”. When that signal goes out the book appears in more places because it is what people want to see.
Reviews have power
When you leave a review, even a bad one, you are telling the World Wide Web that you purchased the product. The WWW tells everyone that people are buying this and they should too. Reviews have a great impact on sales. Authors create advanced reader teams so that they can get reviews on and during their release week. These reviews naturally boost sales and lead to more eyes on their book.
Reviews help authors
Writing books is a solo experience but reading reviews provides confirmation that the story reached an audience. Although reviews aren’t for authors they are for other readers, reviews can be helpful to the author. When you leave a review you are expressing your feelings toward the book. Your feedback is valuable to the author and they can’t grow without you.
My personal experience with reviews
Reviews have helped me grow in my craft and mature in my spirit. I have looked at comments and used them to better my prose as well as rejoiced in the kind words being left. Early in my writing career, I hung up several reviews to remind me that my words made an impact. Reviews have kept me going when I felt like giving up.
Friend, when you finish your next read, please leave a review.

Are you in the mood for a quick read?
Sometimes we want to read a good story but we only have a short amount of free time. That is one of the reasons I wrote the Living a Blessed Lie series. This 90-minute read is a perfect read for your lunch break or kids’ football practice.
They say they are Living their Blessed Life but someone is LIVING A BLESSED LIE.
