I am often asked how I got started writing. My complete answer can be found under the about tab but long story short my mother said “if you cannot find something to read then go write your own story”. This sparked my love for writing. My love for reading came because I was surrounded by readers. Reading was and is part of my family tree. Parents that are readers have children that are readers. Aunts and uncles that are readers have nieces and nephews that are readers. Reading is in your family structure. I have spent many years teaching reading and the easiest way to turn a child into a reader is to turn the parent into a reader.
