Summertime, summer reading but where? I am glad you asked, in this blog post I will share three of my favorite places to read.
Coffee Shops
There is nothing like the smell of coffee beans and the sound of soft jazz. Reading in a coffee shop is a great way to get out of the heat and out of the house. Most coffee shops serve coffee and tea. They provide readers with an atmosphere that allows them to read and discuss softly with friends. I have enjoyed bible study conversations with my life group for years.
Outside
Beaches and parks are other great places to read. As the sun shines on your book or tablet you are transported to a new world. Reading outside allows you to soak up vitamin D and find peace between the pages. It is a win-win, your body needs peace and vitamins. So be a good reader and take your vitamin D.
Where you find free time
If you wait in lines, have a doctor’s appointment, or take public transportation then you understand the annoyance of waiting. One reason I love the eBook is that it gives me something to do while I am sitting or standing and waiting to hear “Next’. You can keep a small eReader in your purse, as I do, or carry your next read with up in paperback. You will be surprised by the amount of reading you can do while you wait.
Bonus
As much as you love to read anywhere, I would caution you not to read at your child’s practice or rehearsal. I found out in a fit of teenage angst that children watch you as you watch them. If you appear to be engaged in something other than pitches, catches, or twirls your child may feel some sort of way.

Her Pleasure His Principles is a must-read this summer.
Kelis Marshall has it all and a five-year plan that will take her to the top of the office food chain. She is her own God. What this self-made queen wants she gets, that is until she meets Hezekiah Washington. Hezekiah, a born-again Christian, respects Kelis’ drive but is wary of a relationship with a nonbeliever. The flesh battles with the spirit and Kelis’ pleasures appear to outweigh Hezekiah’s principles. Kelis gets all she desires, but there is a twist.
