2020 is almost over and although things were not perfect God remained in control. If you are like me, you are creating your 2021 writing plan. Here are 3 things to consider while planning.
Time
How much time do you have next year? When you are thinking about the time you plan to write next year think beyond holidays and birthdays. Consider time off for illness and burnout. While we can not predict illness, we can factor in days in case we need to take care of ourselves or loved ones. I pray you do not need sick days in 2021.
Writing Count average
We all have those days where we write 5000 or 10000 words. High word counts are great but they are an exception. Consider your average word count and determine your time writing based on those numbers. I often pick a word count goal slightly below my average when I map out projects.
Rest and Grace
2020 has tough us that time is but a vapor. Please give yourself time to rest in 2021 and grace. We all would like to release our greatest number of books in a year however, we need to be kind to our bodies and mental health.
